An introduction to Liz
For thirty years Liz has been in action in Canada in psychodrama, sociometry and psychotherapy. Working withindividuals and groups, she has focused on the challenges of relationship, loss and bereavement,
conflict resolution, trauma, self-defeating patterns, managing stress, aging and making wiser life choices.
Change is challenging as our coping patterns were put in place early in life. Combining the cognitive with the creative, Liz invites us to embark on the adventure of self-awareness, so that we can understand and have compassion for the beliefs and behaviours that keep us stuck in old ways. Befriending our defences is a central concept that Liz has developed so that we can integrate our emotional intelligence into a satisfying experience of the world within and around us.
An engaging facilitator, she believes firmly in each person’s capacity to change safely and in their own time, learning to trust their spontaneity and to cocreate a full and satisfying life. Liz keeps designing new workshops that bring to life the concepts that she develops, using music, film, poetry, silence, reflection, the processes of the group itself, and lots of action to enliven her work. She takes us from mindfulness in the individual to global issues of social justice.
Liz describes wellbeing as finding stillness, choosing what is life-giving, and leaving everything else behind.
Working with her you can expect lively sessions, open communication and enough surprises to find resilience and wellbeing.
